About the game

The Ragged Edge campaign is set during 2259 (the second series of Babylon 5) and centres on interstellar espionage and conspiracies, on the movements of shadow and light that set in motion the climactic events of the following years. At the campaign’s beginning, the Player Characters know nothing of the twilight world of spies and secret organisations; by the end of the campaign, at the fall of night, they will find themselves the masters of a star-spanning alliance that could be the deciding factor in the Shadow War.

Assuming, of course, they survive. Walking the path of The Ragged Edge will take the characters all across the galaxy, to the Centauri Republic, the Drazi Freehold, the Narn Regime, Babylon 5, and even into the murky depths of the Clark Regime.

This campaign is follows the events from the Ragged Edge campaign and Cold Equations introductory adventure by Mongoose publishing. Players who've ready any of the two are asked to stick to character knowledge.

Character Creation: While using the Mongoose setting, the rules are based on a conversion to the Savage Worlds rules. This conversion can be downloaded here.

Since this is based on a TV show you've likely seen, I'd like to stress that having seen B5 certainly helps, but is in no way necessary.

Character types allowed: Pretty much everything available in the conversion (Major races, Telepaths and Rangers).

Characters will start with some experience under their belt: 15 xp, making them one step below Seasoned. Players are encouraged to come up with a background story that provides a reason for these xp.

Rules & Books needed.

You'll need the Savage Worlds rules and the Babylon 5 conversion available here. (Note: This link will always lead to the most recent version should there be any updates.)

If you plan on playing a Telepath or a Technomage, the Scifi-Worldbuilder Toolkits are useful as well, since the conversion directly refers to them in one or two cases.
